YOU LIKE IT?! YOU LIKE IT HUH?!

I had an argument with my boyfriend last night and I think I confused myself.

We talked about PORN.

I finally got the courage to tell my boyfriend that i saw his porn collection and it is really bothering me. Not because he watches porn but because he watches A LOT of porn. Well i dont really know if his collection could be technically considered as A LOT. But its A LOT for me. I have porn but they are only two titles.

Anyway, so told him whats bothering me. And he immediately told me "theres nothing wrong about porn". And his reply stunned me. There is NOTHING wrong about porn??? As in NOTHING WRONG about porn. Like its just an apple? Or a pencil? Or a chair? Because there is nothing wrong about porn.

After a few seconds of just staring at my boyfriend I told him "porn in itself is wrong. How could you say that there's nothing wrong with porn!". And after I said that I felt confused. Is porn really wrong? I dont really know.

If porn is ok, then why do we have anti-porn devices in our computers? Why do we block off provocative sites in an office?

If porn is bad, then why is there a huge industry behind it? Why arent they arresting people for being porn stars?

For me, porn is like smoking. I am a smoker. I like to smoke! But if you ask me if smoking is bad, then I will tell you that smoking is bad but I still choose to smoke.

So, when my boyfriend told me that "there is nothing wrong with porn", I was alarmed. Coz for me, he's doing something wrong and he doesnt even know it.

But there is still this question. No "it depends". No gray area. In black and white. Is porn, in its basic form, bad or good?

I THINK I just told my boyfriend to stop watching porn...that much.

I feel like I'm such a prude.

No.
